I may turn in to a meatball...well a turkeyball. I am obsessed with these and can not quit inhaling them. I made a batch on Monday and they were gone by Tuesday and it was just lil' G and me. I mean he did eat 2 of them but I ate the other 14. 😳 I was at Whole Foods today and they had Organic Ground Chicken, SCORE. Now we have turkey and chickenballs! I made 32 of them...let's see how long they last. I was nice enough to measure out my ingredients today so I could share this deliciousness with you, you can thank me later.
Turkeyball, Chickenball, Meatball
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey, chicken or grass-fed beef (buy organic if you can)
1 tbsp flax seed
1 tbsp wheat germ
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp garlic granules
fresh ground pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350° and line large sheet pan with parchment paper.
2. In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Either utilize your hands or a fork to mix thoroughly.
3. Form into 16 balls and place on sheet pan.
4. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
5. Don't eat them all before you sit down...or do.
You decide how you want to enjoy them. I eat them plain and sometimes I put them on top of my zoodles and top with a healthy tomato sauce. Lil' G likes them straight up (but that is probably because I haven't introduced him to tomato sauce yet 😊).
