Whoever created the combination of chocolate and peanut butter was smart. And whoever added a banana to the mix was a genius. So lets thank them and get to blending. This smoothie is good enough to call dessert, yet you can have it for breakfast and not have one bit of guilt, after all you would be starting your day with a serving of greens. Enjoy.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk or other milk of choice
1/4 cup coconut water
1/2 cup frozen kale (or 2 handfuls fresh kale)
1 banana
1-2 tbsp peanut butter (Georgia Grinders is delicious!)
2 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp hemp seeds
2 dates (pitted)
8-10 ice cubes
1 tsp cacao nibs, optional
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Sprinkle cacao nibs on top (optional).
2. Try not to drink in under 30 seconds. 😉
Note: Increase or decrease ice cubes until you find the right consistency for you. You can also sub frozen bananas for the fresh, just be sure to eliminate the ice cubes.
